There is nothing wrong with abortion. I will tell everyone I know to block this ridiculous effort to end abortions in Florida. Take your mania to Mississippi and leave Florida alone.

    1. Abortion kills innocent children, and God hates the hands that shed innocent blood! Proverbs 6:16-19. We live in Florida. We’re not going to move so that you can continue to kill innocent baby girls and boys in our state. We will end abortion and protect all innocent human life! You can oppose us if you like, but you will be remembered in history in the same light as those who supported slavery and the Nazi holocaust.

    Pastor Longworth,

I am a Florida resident and so I came to this website looking for some information about your “movement” for “personhood” and to see what kind of initiatives you have for my state.

But your post is what has caught my eye. Your response above is, quite frankly, very offensive. You have every right to have whatever belief you want, but when you start bringing “Nazis” into your movement, you immediately lose the argument. You see, I have plenty of Jewish friends here, and I have discussed with them about their family’s history of persecution. Many of them had whole parts of their family (men, women, and children) who were mass murdered in a gas chamber. One child, who was 13 at the time, was forced to dig a mass grave for his parents.

So, while everyone understands that you don’t like abortion and want to cast it in the most negative light possible, your use of an analogy comparing a Constitutionally-valid medical procedure to the Nazis is wholly offensive. I find it utterly unconscionable that you would use your status as a “man of God” to fraudulently bring the horrors of the Holocaust to bear for your own pet cause. It is insulting to my Jewish friends — I know because I asked them — and it is insulting to me. I plan on telling my friends and family and anyone in the state of Florida that we will reject your personhood movement and we will reject disgusting and hurtful rhetoric like the kind you use to twist people’s opinions to suit your personal beliefs.

    1. If you hadn’t posted three anti-personhood posts on my personal site, I might actually believe that you sincerely just stumbled onto our site; however, I will answer your objection. The Nazi Holocaust of the Jews and others was abhorrent. I just watched the Hiding Place with my family tonight, and I can assure you that if I lived in Europe during the time of Hitler, I would have been fighting to save the Jews even as I fight to save preborn children, the elderly, and the disabled in America today.
Hitler was greatly influence by the racist teachings of Charles Darwin and by Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger. Hitler implemented a plan to eliminate Germany and much of Europe of what he considered to be Human weeds. In doing so, Hitler killed 7 million Jews. Margaret Sanger fought to legalize abortion for the purpose of eliminating what she thought to be human weeds. Abortion in America has killed 8 times as many preborn children as Hitler killed Jews! Each Jew died a horrible death and each baby aborted died a cruel and horrifying death. I will not be silent. I will stand to protect them.
Finally, I challenge you to show me in the constitution where our founding fathers gave the right for a woman to pay an abortionist to rip the arms and legs off of her baby before crushing her skull? You won’t find it, because the founding fathers thought it was self evident that all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. Among which are the right to life… Apparently, this isn’t too self evident to you.
