In 1973 I exercised my “right to choose” and this year my child would be 40 years old…
We have a beautiful promise, that if we repent, He will relent. (Joel 2) He only needs a Gideon’s army. What if only 300 of us each call 10 churches this week and ask them to petition this Sunday, for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. What if we then continue to call 10 churches each week. Surely there are 300 of us who will do this!
This is what we will be doing in Fort Pierce on the IRSC campus on October 23-24th. Dan Becker, the president of Georgia Right to Life will be coming to train us. The first day will be training for the pro-life students with time to role play and practice. The second day will be an outreach to the campus students by the students that have been trained.
Today I have given you the choice between Life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!” Deuteronomy 30:19.
The care of human life and happiness … is the first and only legitimate object of good government. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Honors those who have given the supreme sacrifice for our Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness
At this time of year, we remember the Christ child. Conceived by an unwed young girl and born in a lowly manger, the circumstances of his conception and birth could easily be described a crisis pregnancy, yet Jesus was and is the greatest gift of all.
Every child is a gift from God, regardless the circumstances surround her conception and birth. While not every child is planned or comes under perfect circumstances, every child is a blessing, for every child bears God’s image reminding us of how valuable we are to Him! How His heart must break when we despise His gift and seek abortion to kill the precious gift of God in the womb.
Our founding fathers recognized that “all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights among which are life
As our Floridian Founding Fathers said in the preamble of our Constitution,
“We, the people of the State of Florida, being grateful to Almighty God for our constitutional liberty, in order to secure its benefits, …. do ordain and establish this constitution…. All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life…”
As Floridians, we want to restore this state to that covenant by ending abortion through a Constitutional Amendment called Personhood. This defines the pre-born, the elderly and the disabled as persons so that their lives are protected by love and by law. We are asking every church, every pastor to petition for personhood on January 22, 2012, the Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Will you join us and help us get the word out? We have specific strategy and we need Christians to pray.
